I am board-certified naturopathic doctor through the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and a registered acupuncturist through the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario with a clinical focus on supportive cancer care.
I believe in an evidence-based approach to individualized supportive cancer care and am committed to providing the best patient outcomes. I have been published in multiple research journals including Current Oncology and have been awarded for my research in acupuncture for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
I aspired to become a naturopathic doctor when I was a teenager. A family member was going through chemotherapy and sought out adjunctive modalities to reduce side effects and improve quality of life. It was then, when I realized that there was an entire system of healthcare that could be used to help them through one of the most complicated and traumatic diseases that they may encounter. I gravitate towards naturopathic medicine because of its philosophy to address the individual as a whole and emphasizes education and empowerment to prevent future disease. I am passionate about empowering individuals with high-quality evidence to better support their cancer treatment and journey by optimizing quality of life, minimizing side effects from conventional treatments, increase overall survival, and prolong disease-free survival.
I am also a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my husband and fur-baby. I am a self-proclaimed foodie and you can find me at (mostly) dessert places around Burlington and Hamilton!
